Two moons for Realis: change and permanence
A downloadable supplement
Two moons for Realis, themed around change, permanence, and the resilience of nature and humanity. Both moons are unstable ground. They change around players, just as players change and are changed by them. Lush with detail and potential, these moons will lend themselves to stories which challenge and transform players.
TAIJI, THE INTEGRATED MOON
IMPULSE: Recontextualize a formative memory or event.
What is wrenched from someone on Taiji may not be what they knew to be true before their arrival, but it is nevertheless the truth.
Taiji is a dualist moon, inspired by Chinese philosophy and DBT. Qigong and bartering find new-familiar shapes in its bustling streets.
AKEAKE, THE MOON OF ETERNAL RETURN
IMPULSE: Do something that can never be undone.
Build your fire carefully: no matter when you return—and you will—you will find it still burning.
Akeake, Māori for "forever and ever", is born from nascent thoughts about my migration to Aotearoa. A moon built on natural extremes, it makes explicit the implicit permanence of the ways land can change and be changed by those who stand on it.

Love the way these play with the themes of Realis!
